An introduction to the Ovens of Pieland

Every Octopie Slice has their own lands where they gather, build, and play. A central point of their region is a giant towering structure called the Oven. These very important Ovens create Octopies and maintain the health of the current Octopies. These ovens are also used as a space for public discussions, pielitics, as a place for worship, and to celebrate major events. Each Oven is unique and takes on characteristics similar to the Slice it belongs to. For example, the Doughbots Oven is a mesh of steel parts and machinery much like the Dougbots Slice. The door of the Zompie Oven is broken and decrepit like the Zompie, which has a good portion of its head missing. Sightings and detailed descriptions of the Ovens are rare outside of the Slice they belong to. Below is one of these exclusive Ovens.
This is the Vampiers Oven. The Vampiers gather here when it is time to create new Vampier Octopies, to celebrate important holidays, and to share in great bloody feasts. Despite the fierce reputation of the Vampiers, they show great respect to their Oven, dedicating time and resources to keeping it in good standing and well maintained. This is reflected by the pride and intense protectiveness they show towards their Oven. No other Octopie Slice has even come within 15 tentacles of it.
Much like each of the Octopie Slices, these Ovens are scattered across Pieland. Great, metallic structures that stand tall, sometimes able to be seen from miles around. The Octopies are willing to lay down their lives before letting their Oven fall into the hands of an enemy. Understandable, given that the continued growth of their kin and the strength of the living Octopies depends on these Ovens.
Occasionally, the Ovens need outside help to run smoothly. These special resources are delivered from the Grand Oven. For an Octopie Oven to even work properly in the first place requires a power source only available from the Grand Oven. The Grand Oven is a mysterious, ancient structure whose origin is unknown, but scholars are diligently working to share what they've learnt.
